2 Years - March

- Jude knows that he can't have gum and that its only for mommy and daddy, but he likes to pretend he is chewing gum.  He'll put paper in his mouth and say "It's just my gum" when we tell him he needs to take it out.  Like chill out guys, I'm just chewing my gum like you!
-He is into mud (what boy isn't), but its really the way that he says it that makes us laugh.  In the most Texan accent that you can think of he'll say, "muuuud" or "oh look, muuuuud".
-He likes to tell us when something is "rewy cool".  "That's rewy cool, huh mommy"
- He is always concerned if mommy isn't using two hands.  Whether its while driving or even cooking, he will tell me "two hands, mommy".
-He has started wanting to read his books to us, its always fun to hear what he comes up with!
-We spent a lot of time this Easter really focusing on the true meaning.  We read his bible, made Resurrection rolls, talked about it a lot, and went through the Easter Path at church (interactive telling of the story for kids).  We didn't really expect that he would fully understand, but just wanted to start building that foundation.  Well the one thing that he really understood and still talks about is that "they hurt Jesus' hands on the cross".  He is really saddened by this, and although we try to tell him that Jesus was healed and has been raised, he can't seem to get to the joyous part yet and just focuses on the hard part of the cross.  Pretty deep for a two year old!  It has sure been interesting and extremely special to witness his little heart take all of this in.

Sweet cousins!
We have tried for 2 1/2 years to get a pic of all three together and smiling.  This was our very first success!! (and it took a lot of work!!!)
