This was such a fun month of experiencing our favorite time of the year with our little guy. He might not have understood all that was going on, but having him with us made it all so much more special. He is the light of our lives and brings joy to so many others. We treasure each moment we are given with him and pray that we would allow the Lord to guide our every step as we raise him.
First Haircut
Things started out ok, the cheerios were working!
Then this happened
Finally the finished product. Lets just saw this wasn't the best haircut experience for many reasons (if you could see the sides and the back you would understand!!)
Learning to rock a new hair style!
Besides a day here and there, he was really good with not messing with the christmas tree! Not this day!

- At his latest doctors appointment he weight 19 pounds 8 ounces (almost to 20 pounds!!)
- Continues to eat pretty much all the same food. We are eating more finger foods and less puree food. We haven't introduced milk yet, but are starting to think about it.
- Not that we did not need to before, but we really have to keep an eye on this little guy! He is starting to become our little climber! Luckily so far he is pretty easy to redirect. He has also started to run a bit which tends to cause a few more falls!
-His favorite toys are still all of his many balls and throwing them, but he is really starting to become interested in his mega legos. He likes to put them together and pull them apart, build towers (with our help), and of course knock the towers down. He also loves carrying around a bag or bucket with balls or his "cell" phone in it.
-New words for this month are ball, there it is, (although we might be the only ones that know what he is saying) and there he is.
-When he comes into a room or sees something that excites him, he has started gasping and completely lights up. Or he'll say ooooo when he really likes something.
-His new favorite game is putting pillows on the floor and jumping and rolling on them.
-He is obsessed with the vacuum. Whether its the real one or the play one he got for Christmas.
- Luckily we got through the Christmas holiday, but after New Years our little guy had his first fever. He was still his happy self, but more cuddly and easily upset-able. He was already going through a pretty strong attachment phase and being sick made things even worse! He seems to be getting a bit better with this.
-He will tell himself no when he knows that he is not supposed to touch something. This though does not always detour him from not touching it!
- Still loves animals and gets so excited any time he sees a cat or dog either in person, on the tv, in a book, etc.
-Still has 4 teeth on the top and 4 on the bottom.
-Wears size 3 diapers
-Wears 9-12 month clothes, but can still wear some 6 month pants if they aren't too short.
-Most days takes 2 naps.
-Tongue still out 24/7!
-His hair is starting to slowly grow back. It may be quite awhile before we cut it again! For months he would play with his hair as he fell asleep. We felt so bad for him when we cut it because we took away his comfort! Its long enough again for him to play with it though!
