Our baby girl just keeps growing and growing! In the past month she grew up so much!! Not only in size (she has outgrown almost all of her summer clothes) but in personality, words, abilities, etc! She is on full-on cruise mode with walking! We recently got her some real tennis shoes and it cracks us up seeing her get excited about walking with shoes on! When we go to get them out she'll start saying, "shooos" (shoes) and lifts her feet up for us to put them on! Our calm little baby girl is becoming CRAZY, and on top of that, has quite the opinion lately! I know this is all just apart of the process, but at times I feel that we are already getting a glimpse of her teenage years, ha! This little girl is OBSESSED with her daddy and if he is anywhere near and he is not paying her any attention, she will let him know until he does! She also wants to follow her brother around everywhere and do everything that he is doing. Depending on his mood, he either really likes this or the situation can become a bit precarious! Jude recently started back to school a few mornings a week, and she constantly looks for him and calls for Bubba the entire time; she is not used to not having him around all the time! I am really looking forward to some more one-on-one time with Miss Quinn though!
We have been calling her our little hoarder lately, because she loves to always walk around with random things stashed in her hands. She also loves to carry around a blanket/clothes/underwear/whatever she finds with it on her face and drag it all around. She has become a little OCD also with insisting that all doors and cabinets are shut, whether you are done or not, and is always walking around picking things up and carrying them to us to get them off the floor. It seems as though she is like her mamma and likes a nicely picked up house (wished it actually happened more, ha)!! A completely opposite habit though, is sticking her hands in the toilet!!! If Sissy is around, you better have the lid closed! YUCK; I didn't think this kind of stuff happened with girls! Its all about curiosity and wanting to learn how everything works! This squishy little thing brings us more joy than we ever knew was possible, even with her opinions and toilet habits! I catch myself watching her play and wonder how I got so lucky that the Lord ensured her and her brother to us. He knit her together into the perfect Quinn in my womb from our genes and the thought still completely blows me away. I pray and look forward to the day that she comes to know this perfect creator and walk in his ways!
