Two Years - April

As you can see I am playing catch up with my blog posts.  I have one last month to post for Jude as the only child from the month of April.  We tried to cram in as many fun activities and family time as possible as we patiently waited for sister to arrive.  It was a super sweet month and I am so thankful for all of the time that we had together.  A few Judisms from the month:
-At the end of my pregnancy I would be bone tired by the time night time came around and/or often having many contractions.  When we would be getting ready for bed daddy would ask Jude not to jump on mommy because she didn't feel good.  He would bend down to my face, put his hands together, and say "What is it mamma?" in the sweetest voice.  I guess I say this to him when I am trying to figure out if something is wrong!
-When you ask Jude a question, he has started to say "oh" at the beginning of his answer.  For example, "Jude what are you playing" a typical Jude answer would be "Oh, I just be playing some basketball." Ha!
-We have been having a hard time at dinner with Jude throwing food when he is done or doesn't like something.  This usually results in him getting a spanking.  Last night this was the case, and as Sam went to pick him up he said, "Daddy please spank me soft." Let's just say I died laughing when he left the room.
-Jude likes to give shoulder massages.  He is basically just gently rubbing your back, but its super sweet.  The other day he was giving me a massage and came into my face and asked, "That comfortable mamma?"  Slightly wrong use of the word, but super kind!
- He has started to say "Oh man" all the time.  The things that you don't realize that you say; I am starting to become very aware!!

Baby Quinn Debut II

My good friend came to capture a few family pictures at the hospital and they are some that I will treasure forever.  We didn't plan it, but got lucky, that she came right when Jude got to the hospital to meet his baby sister.  Both sets of grandparents had been keeping Jude at home until Mommy and Daddy were rested!  They stopped on their way to the hospital and had Jude pick out a gift to bring to baby sister, and guess what it was....a pink ball of course!!  We heard him the instant he got off the on elevator saying that he wanted to meet his baby sister.  He came bouncing into the room, present in hand, and instantly just stopped when he saw her in her bassinet.  He was in such awe!!  He then asked to be lifted up to see her and just stared at her for the longest time.  Then in the sweetest voice said that he had a gift for baby sister.  It was one of the best moments of my life and one that I pray I never forget.  I couldn't control the stream of tears from the moment he walked in.  Not only because he was so excited to meet his sister, but because he looked so BIG!!  My baby wasn't my baby anymore!  He came in got in bed with me and it felt like I hadn't seen him in years rather than days, he felt so big!!  The Lord has been so gracious to our family and has blessed us beyond measure.  It might not always been easy, but its all worth it!!

Going in for a kiss - he got nervous and stopped with an "air" kiss!

The pink ball he picked out just for her!

Opening his gift from sister; this really won him over!!
Bubble gun, jump rope, and a doctors set...best sister ever!

Baby Quinn's Debut

We are so happy to announce that our baby girl is here and is the perfect addition to our family.  We are loving every moment with her and her sweet little face.  From the moment she was laid on my chest it was love at first sight.  She already has her daddy wrapped around her finger and her big brother is pretty smitten with her too.  He always wants to go check on baby sister and is now starting to get excited to hold her.  I honestly can't believe how gentle and loving he is with her.  I can already see an amazing relationship forming between them and can't wait to see what this develops into.

The things we have discovered about Miss Quinn so far: she is a wiggle bug when she sleeps and makes a lot of noises, loves to snuggle, doesn't poop often but "saves" it all up for one big one that is always fun to clean up, is a great eater, makes the funniest faces, although small she has the chubbiest cheeks that are so sweet to kiss, loves to sleep (we call her Miss Snuzzy), and is just all around sweet as can be!   Here are some pictures of Quinn's first days!
