Jude - October

-One night we were putting Jude to bed and getting ready to leave (after continuously giving into all of his bed time "tricks"), and he holds his hands up and says, "Guys stay; guys don't leave".  We just looked at him like, do you mean mommy and daddy...bro???
-In some ways it is great that Jude is getting older and becoming self-sufficient, but in other ways its not so great.  Take for example his "habit" of helping himself to the refrigerator.  I'll just sit there and watch him while he works his magic.  He'll say, "oh, I'll just have this _____", like I gave him permission!! He has also started helping himself to things by moving a stool or a chair to where he wants to be.  I'll give him points for taking initiative, but this is putting him in some dangerous situations.  Luckily I'm usually just watching him figure out this new independence!
- Although he has no idea who Pewee Herman is, he has started using what we call his "Pewee Herman voice".  We aren't sure where he picked this up, but its pretty funny.  He obviously thinks its hilarious!
-One afternoon he picked up a small Eiffel Tower that we have from a past trip and says, "Hey look, this is where I live in Texas!" Hummmm, slightly off...at least he got the Texas part right!
-The biggest thing that he has started to do is ask, "Mommy what did you say, Daddy what did you say?" if we are in a conversation and he can't hear us or basically anytime he wants to know what we are talking about .  Kinda like a child always asking Why, but he is a constant What??? We don't mind (usually) though because it means he is interested and learning!

Argh...the fireman pirate

If you know Sam at all, you know this is the perfect "like father, like son" picture!

MDO costume parade

Jude's sweet like MDO class; please notice the amount of boys to girls!!
I'm sure their teachers love that!

His tower was taller than him!

He was finally introduced to the wonders of Chick-fil-a! His first non-grilled nuggets, playing in the toys, trading in the book for ice cream, plus chocolate milk!!  Let's just say by the end of this sugar high he was in the tubs with no pants on!!!

Halloween carnival at Daddy's work

He may have monopolized this game for quite awhile

6 Months - Quinn

Our baby girl is 6 months old....1/2 year! That is crazy!!!  How did time pass so quickly? She is at such a fun stage though, I wouldn't trade to go backwards.  The Lord has blessed us beyond belief and we are head-over-heels for this girl.  She can steal your heart in an instant with those sparkling, deep eyes and her precious smile.  When I think of Quinn I think of JOY.  She truly is such a joy and brings so much joy to everyone around her.  Her chubby little cheeks are perfect for kissing all day and THOSE THIGHS are the best!!!  She has the cutest, most content personality.  As long as mommy stays in sight, she is happy.  This can make things hard some times, but if we're being honest, it really warms my heart. I know I have said it before, but this girl loves to talk.  Non-stop, all day.  Sometimes its more of a yell talk, but its the best sounds of my day!
She is doing great at sitting up, although can't stay up too long if not in the tripod position.  She pretty much uses rolling as her form of transportation and does a pretty good job until she gets stuck somewhere!  We also started her on some cereal and even some apples!  She caught on super quick and loves eating with the rest of us! This girl A.D.O.R.E.S her brother.  All he has to do is look at her and she will start belly laughing! I'm pretty sure they are both pretty smitten, although Jude likes to pretend he's not sometimes!! And unlike her brother, if we put a camera up, she instantly smiles! Finally  someone that does fight me for a picture of them smiling!!

It was still hot, so bring on the hats!

The first Halloween option, too cute not to share!

Bath time!

First time to try cereal, not too sure
-Weight/Height/Head: TBD (but based on clothes, she is a growing girl)
- When Quinn is excited or wants something she rubs her feet together super hard and super fast.  I have no idea how she doesn't rub blisters on the sides of her feet!
- Still no teeth at this point, but based on the drool and chewing on everything, I think it might be soon.
- She is now wearing mainly 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.
