My baby turned one!! We started thinking about this Hey Jude party idea months and months ago and it was over in a flash! The day started out pretty interesting due to the fact that we had an ice storm days before and everyone was pretty much iced in. Luckily both sets of grandparents made it in and some friends and family members were able to risk the drive to come and celebrate with us! The party turned out just like we had envisioned and we had the best time celebrating our little guy. With Beatles music playing in the background, cookies & cake, and memories of our last year displayed throughout, it was quite the celebration! I don't think he knew what to think about all those people being in his house and all of the attention on him, but I think he had fun. He only ate a little bit of cake (which was an upgrade from when we tried for pictures a few weeks earlier and he just cried and gagged!!), but I'm pretty sure he thought it was pretty tasty, just unsure what to think about a huge cake in front of him! He loved all of his gifts and has been playing with all of the toys every since! I'll save the details and the sappiness for the next posts, for now we'll just focus on the celebration!
