6 Months

Six months...Half birthday!!!  How is this possible?  Everyone always says it will go fast, and they are not kidding.  Although I can't believe we are already at 6 months, I really do not feel like our days are passing by quickly and honestly feel like we get the most out of each day!!!  That is always my prayer - to live in today and to soak in all that I can of this little guy each and every day.  Things change so fast, so you must be focused on today!  This month was a big one!  Jude's personality is forming more and more.  He is happy as can be, curious, adventurous, crazy, excitable, loving, a bit more opinionated, and all things CUTE!!  I honestly could just eat up that precious face and smile!  When he gets excited its not with just a smile, but his whole self! His eyes light up, mouth opens, tongue comes out and arms flail about - there is no way not to smile and laugh at that!  And the laugh...oh the laugh - not a better sound in the world!  We also got our first tooth, started really talking, started solids, started "crawling", started lunging for things when standing (hold on tight), started sitting up well yet still assisted, and all around becoming so big!!!  This little man wants to always be on the go...I have a feeling things are about to get very busy! Although all of these things are exciting they have also made me a bit sentimental about the newborn baby phase leaving.  Sappy mom is missing that snuggly tiny baby but is also so excited about all that is in store!  We could not be more in love!  Here's a peak at what we have been up to!

Loves playing in his exersaucer

Cute face...crazy hair!

Somebody loves to play with cups and bang

Stats:
-Weight: 14 pounds - (8%)
-Height: 26 1/4 (25%)
-Head: 16 1/2 (10%)
-We have one small boy on our hands, good thing he is loving food.  So far he has conquered sweet potatoes and green beans.  He HATED avocado, which would be a great healthy fat for him!!!  Next up - butternut squash.  After trying a good amount of veggies, I will start making the fruits!!  He is into this eating stuff and is not happy when the food runs out.  He lets you know he wants more after each bite by banging on the table (might have to work on table manners)!
-He loves moving around the floor exploring all of his toys, playing in his excersaucer, "wrestling" with daddy, raspberries on the tummy, peek-a-boo, books, and his paci (which he has a love-hate relationship with)
-Has become very interested in different textures and will explore them by scratching
-Earlier this month was making the funniest "old man lost his dentures" or "sour lemon" face!  Only does it every now and then now.  Made us laugh so hard!
-He is talking up a storm!  His favorite sounds to make are still the "g" or "gee" sound but also says dada all the time!  Not sure he relates it with Sam, but its so cute to hear!
-Helps us "turn" the page when we are reading the book.  Sometimes his hands and feet are pushing the opposite way though!
-Increased to wearing size 2 diapers and still wearing mainly 3-6 month clothes and some 6 month clothes
-Most days takes 2 naps a day
-Holds his own bottle when others feed him
-Loves to laugh and make high pitch screams!
-Tongue STILL out 24/7!!!
-Has a full head of hair with the top being very long!

Baby Jude, we could not be more in love and excited about the boy you are becoming.  We don't want you to grow up too fast, but are so ecstatic to see all that the Lord has in store for you.  We pray over you daily and are so thankful for the blessings we have received in you.  We love you more than words could ever express!
