Big Apple

This week we decided to give up a nice relaxing beach vacation to take on the Big Apple!!! We might need a vacation to get over our vacation, but we are super excited to see all that New York entails - from the Yankees, to Broadway, to the Statue of Liberty, and the food!! I know many of you have been before, so I am asking that you help us plan our vacation! We have a few things scheduled already, but I would love to hear places that each of you think is a MUST DO!! Places to visit, people to see, food to eat - tell us it all!!
Happy weekending to everyone.

Here are my suggestions:
1. Shop at H&M.
2. Go to Central Park
3. Eat a Hot Dog on a corner
4. Just walk
5. If you take the subway, know what level you are on and exactly where you want to get off!

It is an amazing place and it is exactly like it seems on TV. I can't wait to go back! You guys will have so much fun.

You must have dessert at Serendipity but make reservations or the wait can be hours! The half price ticket booth is an awesome way to get show tickets especially for shows that have been playing for years. SoHo is a fun area to eat and shop in and actually they have great tours of the city (via bus or van) that we've done before that are actually really neat. I know you can take a "Sex and the City" bus tour if Sam is into that (hehe) and then of course the famous Tavern on the Green in Central Park is a fabulous place for lunch (a little less pricey than dinner) or a cocktail if you don't want to spend the money on a full meal. The carousel is not far and you can take a carriage ride through the park. The carriages are always outside. FAO Schwartz is of course cool to see still and now has a very fun soda shop inside (also very pricey but YUMMY) and then the Today show (bring your big sign and get there early if you want to get on tv). Radio City Music Hall does tours and you get to meet a couple of the Rockets. NBC does tours and you get to see the sets of some of the popular shows. The of course there's always tickets to the Letterman show taping. I personally thought Ellis Island was fascinating if you're into history. There's just so much! You can't do it all in one visit but you sure can try! :) Y'all will have a great time!

You guys are going to have so much fun! You have to go see a broadway show, they are truly amazing. You will also have to go to ground zero and right by there is a great place to shop called Century 21. Let us know how the trip goes

We went for the last part of our honeymoon...Alot of the suggestions people have already listed are great! Some of mine are repeats, but then you'll know they are really a must!
1. Times Square and the Empire State Building at night...The lights are amazing!
2. Little Italy
3. Tavern on the Green - Make reservations and ask to sit in the Crystal Room
4. Serendipity - Go early at lunch, split a sandwich (they're big) and then Frozen Hot Chocolate or a HUGE Sundae
5. Carnegie Deli - The BEST New York Cheesecake
6. Ellis Island and or a boat tour around New York Harbor
7. A hot dog and carriage ride around Central Park - You can pick it up in front of Tavern On The Green
8. FAO Swartz is a must!
9. If Chorus Line is still playing it is the best show I've ever seen!
10. If you are their for several days get a week bus subway pass for each of you...We walked and used those during the day and then would take a cab back to our hotel late at night.
11. Ground Zero...It is very humbling
12. The Museum of Natural History...It has some really amazing stuff!
13. Tiffany's!
14. Go to at least one of the big department stores, even just to walk through it...It's crazy!
That's alot, I know, but we did it all in just a few days if you pack it in! You can check out my pictures on myspace or facebook from our trip or let me know if you have any questions! Hope you have a blast!

my suggestion is to eat at Serendipity! Their frozen hot chocolate and sandwiches and other desserts(basically everything)is very good! I suggest calling ahead of time for reservations or the line will be really long! and, as your friend below said shop at H&M!! Have a great time!
