3 months

 

 

Its that time again; another month has passed.  I feel like I am doing these posts closer and closer together!!  This little boy is absolutely the love of our lives and keeps us entertained all day every day. We are really beginning to settle into more of a routine and MOST days he is napping very well (took us awhile to get there).  We go on a walk almost every day; he just loves being outside in the sunshine.  We really need to get him some sunglasses though because he makes the funniest faces when the sun hits his eyes.  This little guy is full of personality and loves to talk, but is not a fan of loud crowds!  He's more of a small group of friends kind of guy!  He love love loves to stand and loves to be up looking at the world.  I have a feeling he's not going to want to just sit and snuggle for much longer!  He is getting so strong and seems to be getting close to thinking about rolling over.  I am looking forward to all of the milestones upon us, but I do not wish for time to pass too quickly.  My prayer each day is that I would be able to soak in every precious moment I have with this little guy.  I have always heard other mom's talk about their love for their children, but you just don't fully understand until they come into your life.  My cup runneth over!

Stats:

-Weight 12.3 pounds as of 2 weeks ago

- Becoming very vocal and social, especially to that cute baby in the mirror!

- I think he could be standing, or at least sitting up looking out, all day long

-His "best friends" are still the fan and his mobiles

-Actually enjoys tummy time now rather than us making him do it

- He is beginning to discover his hands.  He seems to be trying to learn how to fit his whole fist into his mouth!

-Has recently started to hold onto his elephant lovie and taggie blanket.  

-Still eating great, although growing at a slower pace!  The good news is that he is still growing and we're even starting to get into some new clothes.

-Sporting the old man hair in the back due to loosing the top portion.  The front is also starting to thin out a bit and form a straight line across his forehead.  Will is still be red when it comes back in??

 

Little man, your daddy and I could not be more blessed and filled with joy.  We had no idea how much we would love you!  You brighten our day from the very first moment to the last. We can't wait to see what comes next! The Lord is so faithful!



2 month

How in the world have 2 months already passed us by?  This precious little boy has stolen our hearts and changed our lives forever.  Its hard to even remember how life was before him.  He is the perfect third piece to this Sessler family.  I look forward to every moment that I get to spend with him and miss him when he is sleeping!  We are biased, but think that he is the cutest little boy in the world!  Let's just say that there will never be a short supply of photos and videos of this little man!  He has become so social and loves smiling and talking to us, which makes things so much fun.  I hope I never forget that precious toothless smile that makes my heart want to burst out of my chest!  He misses his daddy all day long and gets so excited when he gets home, its precious!  Here are just a few pics from month #2!

Stats:

-Weight: 11 pounds - 40% (dr says I need to gain more weight!)

-Height: 22 1/2 (20%)

-Head: 15 (25%)

-His favorite things are the fan, the birds on his swing, his Ranger hat, exercises mat, and new mobile on his crib.  He gets the biggest smiles, kicks like crazy, and talks to all of them!

-Wears size 1 diapers

-Loves to go on walks and be outside

-He has not only started "talking" to us but making raspberries with his month

-He has started to mimic what we do with our faces and it cracks us up (nod head, stick out tongue, wrinkle nose)

-His tongue is sticking out 24 hours a day whether sleeping or awake

-He loves his sleep sheep and has it on every night

-He is getting more and more hair and is still sporting the red tint!

 

Jude, you make mommy and daddy so happy; we could not imagine our lives without you.  We pray over you each day, and can't wait to see the little boy and eventually man that you grow to be.  May the Lord guide your every step to do great things for His kingdom. 

 

1 Month

I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.

Jude is one month old today!!! In some ways I feel like he has been with us way longer than a month and others I can't believe he is already a month old!!!  What an amazing month it has been!  Lots of learning, some "hurdles" along the way, but mainly a month full of blessings and experiencing being a family of three!!!  The best part is that daddy got to be home for three of the four weeks! I can honestly say that I never knew or could have expected how much I would love this little man.  I also never knew how much a little baby, that mainly eats and sleeps, can entertain so many adults!!!  He has truly stolen each of our hearts and has us wrapped around his fingers.  I pray that time slows down and that we can stop and treasure each day with this precious baby.  I never want to stop snuggling on him, but know one day that will come - so I plan to take full advantage now!  Here are a few of the millions of pics that we took this month!

Jude also got to experience his first Christmas!  I am pretty sure the little guy might have received the most gifts at only a few weeks old!  He is set in the toy area for the next few months!  It was such a blessing though because due to the holidays we were surrounded by family all month! Everyone got their Jude fill this month and we got food cooked for us, laundry cleaned and folded, house cleaned, etc by the amazing grandma's!!!  Could not have made it through the month without their help.

Stats:

-Weighs over 9 pounds - 50%

-Head 50%

-Height - 40%

-Hair is pretty dark, but has a red tint in the sun

-Loves his paci and makes the cutest noises when sucking

-Loves to be swaddled and when we take it off is the biggest stretcher; he has a pretty impressive back bend

-He is very strong for a newborn and is already lifting his head really well

-We do exercises every day and always try to get in some tummy time

-He is a great sleeper already - have even had some 7 & 5 hour stretches.  For the most part though, he goes about 4-4 1/2 hours

-Has moved out of most of his newborn clothes, but still in newborn diapers

-Once we learned the water temp that he enjoys, he loves to take a bath

-Gave us his first smiles in week 4

-Hates getting his clothes changed and not a huge fan of the diaper change

-Loves his swing and sleep sheep

 

Jude, you have blessed mommy and daddy's hearts more than we could have ever thought or imagined.  You are a blessing to us each and every day (even at 3 in the morning).  I pray in all we do you can see the Lord and grow to know Him in a personal way.  Your name signifies our prayers for you: Jude - to give praise to the Lord, and Samuel - Heard by God/God Hears.  We pray that you have a heart that desires to be in constand communication and deep relationship with the Lord, always walking with Him.  My cup overflows with my love for you - SING PRAISE TO THE LORD!

 





Baby Jude's Debut



On December 9, 2012 at 3:49pm Jude Samuel entered the world at 8lb 10oz and 21inches.  Our lives were changed in an instant and we were in love!!!  It might have been a long 20 hour labor that ended in a c-section, but it didn't matter, because our precious baby boy was here!
