24 moths (AKA: 2 YEARS OLD!!!!)

I have no idea how my "baby" is already two years old!!  Every day has been such a blessing, but I just can't wrap my brain around a full two years!!!  I wouldn't trade it for the world though, because just like every stage, we are LOVING this age.  The amount of progress that he makes daily is unbelievable - the talking, the comprehending, the physical skills, the cognitive skills, and the singing impress us daily.  It is so fun to watch him take everything in and mold into this big world!  I will say that the only not so fun part is the oh so fun terrible two tantrums!!!  We are all learning how to weave our way through these with love, patience, and kindness.  I truly think the second he blew out his candles, these came upon us!  But even through these some times difficult experiences, we would not trade any moment with this little guy.  He is truly the light of our lives and brings us more joy that we could have possibly ever imagined.  How did we do it without him for so long????

One of my favorite things right now is his love for music and singing.  He is a singing fool!!!  We have been listening to the same kid worship CDs for months in the car and all of a sudden he just starts bursting forth with all of the words.  The same thing with his music class that we attend weekly, he is now singing every song! His current favorites are Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Silent Night, You Never Let Go, Twinkle Twinkle, and Happy Birthday. He also got a new little guitar for his birthday and loves playing that while singing his Christmas songs!

We had a crazy busy month with Thanksgiving, birthday celebrations, and getting to see the grandparents three weekends in a row!!! Here's a little glimpse!

Stats:
-Favorite foods: hands down this guy's current favorite thing to eat is cheese sticks, he eats atleast 4-5 a day and asks for them constantly.  "Jude hungry, cheesestick?"
-It was a big month in that we finally turned Jude's carseat around!!  Its a whole new world for him and he likes to tell you all about it and EVERYTHING that he sees!
-He is obsessed with taking his shoes and socks off; he almost always has his right shoe and/or sock off at all times. I don't get it!!!
-He can now fully say the ABC's and count to 10 by himself.  He is getting pretty good at 11-15 also.  He is also starting to learn many of the individuals letters and picks them out wherever he sees them.
-He has a strange addiction to chapstick.  We try to always hide the chapstick or we know that we are never getting it back!!  And don't even try to take it away!!
-Funny things that he is currently saying: "Oh my goodness" which came from mommy when she is frustrated; "I hold you" when he wants us to pick him up; "Do it again" when he thinks something is fun, "Last one"  over and over when he is trying to continue doing something when we want him to stop; "Break it down Cowboys" to help the Cowboys win; "Yay Dirk" when we watch the Mavs (he can pick out Dirk anywhere); "Watch this" when he wants us to see something.
-He is very good and cheering himself and or others on when playing sports.  He always says, "almost", "good shot mom", "nice", or "missed it".
-Has learned that money is cool!  Is so proud to have some penny's and always wants to help at checkout.
-He is good at saying he is two and will even hold up his two fingers, but anytime someone asked him how old he is, he always says "SIX" and holds up six fingers! (not so fast mister, that would make mommy super sad!!!)
-Points to every cross that he sees and says "Jesus".  He doesn't comprehend what that means yet, but at least he is putting them together!
-He got really into his Hickory Dickory Dock book and now every clock that he sees he calls a "Hickory Dock".  He also asks where the mouse is when he sees a grandfather clock.
-I am basically loosing count of his teeth, but he's been working on his two-year molars so we almost have them all!!
-Wears size 4 diapers
-Wears mostly 18-24 month pants, 2T tops, and size 6 shoes.
-Takes 2 naps most days, or one nap and one "rest" period in the afternoon.
