8 Months

Welcome to 8 months little boy!  For mommy this felt like the fastest month yet!  Maybe its because this little boy is on the move and there's never a dull moment!  It was so fun watching Jude learn and grow this month, he is really starting to loose that newborn look and move towards a more toddler look.  His front two teeth made their appearance this month, which makes him look so old!  This little guy plays hard and sleeps hard.  From the moment he wakes up, until we lay him in his crib, he is going hard and being crazy.  He is pulling himself up and crawling up on anything and anyone in his sight, crawling all around the house, moving along furniture, and even walking with his dino!  He is so proud of himself each time and really isn't afraid to take risks!  Not sure that is such a good thing, but it does show his more adventurous side.  He also loves standing up at windows or doors to take in the outdoors.  Sadly we stayed in the house a lot this month because its HOT!  There have been a few trips to the pool and walks outside, but for the most part we are trying to stay indoors!!  He became very clingy to both Sam and I this month, which is so sweet, but know is something that he will need to grow out of.  He just loves to crawl up in our laps and play with his toys.  Its so sweet when daddy is getting ready to leave for work, Jude makes sure to hang out with him in the bathroom and will crawl after him when he leaves.  Then the moment he hears daddy coming in the door after work he gets so excited and starts grinning from ear to ear.  It is so sweet to see their special bond!  I just can not get enough of this little boy and enjoy watching him learn all about this big world!

We also had BOTH sets of grandparents come visit - a very spoiled and loved little boy!!

Stats:

-He still eats everything we put in front of him, but I guess burns every bit of it off!!  Hopefully this month we'll add some things to his diet that will help him gain more weight!! Still loves feeding himself and is getting so good at it!  We still need to work on our table manners; we'll get to that, but right now we are having fun!

-Talking up a storm: "da", "ba", "ya", "dee", "gee", "titi", "ohhhh" seem to be the favorites.

-His favorite things are crawling after his balls that run away from him, pulling up on anything and anyone, hanging upside down, walking with his dino, being tickled, chasing after mommy & daddy, standing & climbing up mommy and daddy, & being outside (if its not too hot).

- Unless you come to his territory, he is a bit shy at first.  Give him a bit to warm up though and he'll soon be his crazy self.

-He shakes and pats everything.  I guess its his way of "testing" things out.

-Very inquisitive and curious.  The smallest things will catch and keep his attention (such as a small dangling string, buttons, piece of grass, etc.)

-STILL wearing size 2 diapers and mainly 3-6 month clothes with some 6 month clothes

-Has 5 teeth: 2 top and 3 bottom (has started biting and pulling stuff with his teeth)

-Most days takes 2 naps a day

-Tongue STILL out 24/7, although it seems the teeth may be helping this some!!!

-Has even MORE hair.  Its still brown and getting pretty long (how long will mamma wait to cut it???)

And of course, our 8th month photo-shoot.  These pictures are getting harder and harder to capture.  Our busy boy either wants to crawl the other way or attack the camera!
