July - Quinn (15 Months)

This month was packed full and this little one loved every bit of it!!! She seriously will try anything and really forced us to be on our toes with all of these new adventures! Quinn's biggest accomplishment is that she is fully walking!!! She has practiced so hard this month and is now rocking it!! She especially loves when everyone cheers for her! She is also learning that she loves to climb, so put these two things together and our"easy" baby may end up giving us a run for our money!! She loves stairs, so it has been super hard to keep her off the stairs! I will say that she is pretty good at them and can get up pretty quick. New words this month are "No", "doggie" (da-dii), "ruff ruff" (ah ah), and "Love you". She loves to say "no" whether it is echoing us, telling Jude no, or telling on herself when she is about to do something she knows she isn't supposed do (dropping food on the floor, climbing, etc.). We just love this little girl to pieces. She is always up for anything and can make her own fun anywhere she goes! I'm pretty sure she is a "summer" girl because she loves being outside and could play in the water all day every day! Jude can spray her, dump water all over her, splash her and she just laughs and loves it all!!

She was a mess on the plane and just wanted to crawl everywhere! She spent most of her time on the tables.

- Favorite foods: your guess is as good as mine! Will still eat any baby food we put in front of her (besides the dreaded green beans), but is VERY picky with finger foods.

- Favorite toys: walker, mommy's makeup, pillows, water toys

-Wears 12 month clothes and some 18 month, size 4 diapers,

- Starting to get some molars in, but they are just breaking through.

July - Jude

We had quite an adventurous month with lots of laughing at this boy!

- Jude was having a hard time go to bed (a nightly occurrence) and had gotten in trouble with Sam. I went up to see if I could help and he tells me, "I tried to obey, I just couldn't!"
- One morning at home Jude was walking downstairs and says, "Why does Daddy keep leaving his shoes on the floor? You need to tell him to stop doing that!"
- I was rocking Jude in my lap one afternoon and he says, "Mommy, you didn't shave your legs, I don't like that!"
- He went to eat something that he didn't particularly like and said, "That's awful!" I have no idea where he got that!
- When we were in the mountains Jude was discussing everyone's facial hair. He was saying how hairy of a beard that Uncle Jacob has and then said, "Daddy has a beard on his face and Mommy has a beard on her legs!!!" (I promise I do shave)
- As evidenced by the above comments, he has been interested in hair and is so proud that he has hair on his arms and legs. The other day he said that God gave him his hair on his arms to keep him warm and he was so glad that he did!
- Last, he has been trying out some new "techniques" when he is getting in trouble. I think he has figured out that they pull at our heart-strings and tend to make us be a little more lenient on him. He will say things like, "please stop being mean to me" or "will you please not be mad at me" or "please just talk to me." Mind you these are all while he is usually throwing a fit, ha!! Threenager!!
